Ambience, cigar selection and location all play a large role in where the cigar enthusiast should visit. Below you will find a list from the United States, south of the border and even across the globe. Whether you choose to visit one, or many, you are sure to create a special memory that will last a lifetime. These locations are deemed as the best places to travel for cigar lovers. Here are a few of our favorites.
Cuba
The Partagas Factory located in Havana, Cuba is known as the “Heaven for Cigar Lovers”. It is the place to visit for an authentic cigar bar. The finest cigar on the property is the Partagas Lusitania. If this stogie is too much for you, there are 32 other varieties of cigars to choose from. The factory was built in 1845 and has unique, striking architecture that is sure to turn heads. The facility’s aroma produces the smell of fresh and earthy tobacco which radiates directly out the front door. The city of Havana is the homeland of the original cigar. The creators in this great city hand roll each and every cigar that comes out. A tour of the factory will only cost you $12 per tour, and will be an unforgettable experience.

United States
The Grand Havana Room in Los Angeles opened its doors in the 1990’s and continues to be the hip spot for stars, trendsetters and business leaders. The best cigar in the house is the Partagas 150 Aniversario. The Grand Havana Room offers 50 different types of cigars that are sure to please anyone who walks in the door. This cigar lover’s location has exquisite leather couches and luxurious, long curtains that showcase the beautiful views of the landscape. The ambiance is calm and casual amid the eventful hustle of the California lifestyle. Here you can find comfort and relaxation from the outside world. Along with these amenities, it is an exclusive, membership only cigar club.

There are two cigar bars in New York City that are widely known and often visited. On 63rd Street there is Club Macanudo. Here you will find all walks of life from the businessmen to the younger crowd. The cigar of choice is the Partagas Don Raomon. If you are more particular in your cigar choice, you won’t walk out empty handed from this club. Club Macanudo has over 100 cigars to smoke; 130 to be exact. This Upper East Side club has been highlighted by Food Network, USA Today and Time Out New York. The mahogany furniture, comfortable leather chairs and world renowned cigars are just a few reasons why this place always has business. Club Macanudo welcomes smokers and non-smokers because of its state-of-the-art ventilation system.

The other well-known cigar bar in New York City is Nat Sherman, located on 42nd Street. Nat Sherman is known to be one of the world’s best cigar shops. It offers the Gotham Westside as their prime cigar. Although Nat Sherman only has 12 cigars on their shelves, they make up for it with the finest quality. This bar started its own line of cigars in the late 1930’s. This location has been an iconic landmark in the center of New York City for over 80 years. Here you enjoy the traditions of Nat Sherman and his family. Inside the store you can purchase one of Sherman’s private collections.

Switzerland
If your travels take you to Switzerland, be sure to visit the cigar lounge named Davidoff-Schiff. The name of this lounge translates into “Smoke on the water.” It received this title because it is a ship floating on Lake Zurich. This ship offers 30 different varieties of cigars to choose from. The top selling cigar that is sold here is the Davidoff Double. Here you will find an elegant, classy atmosphere with food that compliments both the taste and aroma of cigars. This is the prime place for cigar aficionados to enjoy “The good life” (as Davidoff says.) This ship was built for the ultimate pleasure and relaxation spot.

Whether you are traveling throughout the United States, or roaming international waters, there are plenty of exceptional cigar bars that are worth visiting. If for some reason you cannot or are not in the mood to travel, you do have other options.  Consider visiting your local smoke shop or ordering your favorite cigar online from places like JR Cigars or Neptune Cigars. Whether on land or on water, you are sure to find a place that suits your taste as a cigar enthusiast. The best way to enjoy these locations is to sit back, relax and puff on the finest cigars life has to offer.
