Marineland Canada
Excellent wildlife attractions have been part of Niagara Falls’ appeal for decades, and Marineland is one of the areas’ best. Exciting rides meet lives shows with dolphins, killer whales, sea lions and much more. Touch and feed the impressive, white beluga whales at the Beluga Encounter. Wander through the underwater viewing stations to get a sense of the animals in their native spaces.
There are also plenty of land animals that you can interact with, too. Bison, elk and deer can all be petted and fed, and when you’re looking for a thrill, the amusement rides are top-notch, too. Roller coasters, flying dragons, stunning tower rides — young and old will find plenty to enjoy.

Safari Niagara features over 500 animal species in an interactive and educational environment that offers scores of exhibits, a ropes course to those who want to try their balance among the trees, bungee jumping and tram and safari rides. Animal presentations, guided tours, feedings and a petting farm all give visitors an unusually tactile and memorable experience, but the fun doesn’t stop there.
A giant sandbox will delight kids of all ages, and the catch-and-release pond will help even the littlest fishermen try out their skills. There is also a kite-flying area, a scavenger trail and plenty of paddle boats in the pond. For a day of wildlife-centered fun and recreation, it’s hard to beat Safari Niagara.
Niagara Falls State Park
Niagara Falls State Park is the United States’ oldest state park, and it’s a great place to see wildlife that is native to the Niagara Falls region in its natural habitat. Visitors often have close encounters with deer, elk and even black bears, and there are also many points throughout the park from which to view the iconic falls from yet another angle. Guided tours are available for history buffs and others who want an insider’s point-of-view, too. Other notable attractions within the park include:
Niagara Gorge Discovery Center
Miles of hiking trails with plenty of opportunities to spy birds and other creatures, a rock climbing wall and a multi-screen theater can all be found at the center.
Aquarium of Niagara
Learn about marine life at this aquarium that features penguin and shark feedings, in addition to many fascinating and informative exhibits.
Bird Kingdom

Marvel at the blue and gold macaws, the diamond firetail, eastern starling and the South American, Chaco Chachalaca. Over 80 species of bird call Bird Kingdom home, but it isn’t just for the birds and bird lovers. Reptiles, spiders, snakes and other exotic creatures can also be found throughout the many exhibits and viewing areas.
Take a walk through the Night Jungle and see owls, bats and other night creatures behaving as they would out in the wild. The Old Museum and the Explorer’s Base Camp provide their own interactive experience of wildlife. Everywhere you turn you’ll find yet another creature unlike any you’ve ever seen before.
Butterfly Conservatory
The Butterfly Conservatory features over 45 species and 2,000 tropical butterflies in a lush habitat that is full of colorful and exotic flora. Visitors can watch at the Emergence Window where butterflies free themselves of their pupae and take flight for the first time. A serene and stunning experience, the Butterfly Conservatory brings the nostalgic magic of the butterfly up close and personal.
Niagara Falls is the perfect vacation destination for anyone who enjoys wildlife. From the bottom of the ocean to the tops of the trees, the Niagara Falls region has creatures from every corner of the globe.
