How I fund my travels

I'm often asked how I fund all of my travels, so I decided it was time to officially address the question with a full explanation on the blog here. Financing is the next biggest obstacle for people who have finally decided that they want to travel the world.

I fund my nomadic lifestyle mostly through my work here on Eye & Pen. While there are many bloggers who fund their lives solely through their writing, I make very little from my actual writing work – which is gradually changing, but hopefully someday I will accomplish a much higher level. I mostly fund my life from my blog coaching, web design and travel planning services – and I also receive a little income from advertising. It was only a few months ago that I began to make enough from the website to sustain the lifestyle I’ve been wanting to have. Truth be told – I’m not even close to my ultimate goal, and I’ve nowhere near reached most of my longterm goals, and I don’t make enough to save for my future yet, but I do bring in enough income to sustain my frugal backpacking nomadic lifestyle. So for now, I’m satisfied with where I’m at – but it typically takes years to be completely successful in making a career of blogging, and I’m only over a year in, myself.
There are many ways to make a living online – from writing, blogging and copywriting services, to advanced features and content, specialty teaching, and products. Some blogs fund their endeavors solely from advertising, but it takes hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors and years of development to reach that level. Advertising only makes up 10-20% of my overall monthly income, so it’s not something I rely too much upon, but I do appreciate every opportunity that presents itself. However, I must deny most opportunities, as they don’t align with my personal voice, goals or recommendations. Bloggers who make money from advertising typically are selling banners, sponsored links, and sponsored content (ex. blog posts, social media posts, mailing list advertising, etc).

Many online entrepreneurs (like myself) offer specialty services, as I mentioned earlier. They offer something unique, in a niche, to fill a need. Many bloggers offer copywriting services, which is a nice, easy-to-fit-all business service that works for those who have writing experience (copywriting is the art of crafting sales wording and content). Others offer personalized services for things that are either difficult to master or are rather time-consuming to learn – like my own services, it’s not easy to master successful blogging techniques and monetization, as it typically takes many bloggers years to learn all the ins and outs. By offering a personal service like this, online entrepreneurs fill a need with the objective being that of helping others – with this mission and focus, it’s difficult to fail, as long as you offer quality and value for your customers.

If a service doesn’t quite fit your own expertise or future goals, then creating products that work for you may be your final option. Many bloggers create ebooks and simple guides on various subjects, which can range from basic skills to complete mastery of something.

If having a location independent lifestyle is a goal of yours, yet sustainable income is an issue for you, then becoming an online entrepreneur may be a viable option for you. If blogging is something that you may like to pursue, but have no idea where to get started, OR if you have already started, but are having trouble monetizing and making your work thrive... I invite you to contact me via email here – also, add me on Skype @eyeandpen. I offer free consultations for my blog coaching and web design services. I’ve worked with loads of fellow bloggers and online entrepreneurs over the past few months and have transformed each and every one of their businesses. No matter if you need help with branding and design or traffic, SEO and monetization, I can help you find success online.

If you’ve successfully monetized your life online, please feel free to comment below – tell your story and how you managed to do it. =)

True. It takes years and a lot of effort.
So I just blog for passion and havent thought much about monetizing and SEO. Income and projects do come, rarely but I don't do much of it. I know of many other bloggers who bring their work with them, having online jobs is an alternative.

It surely does take a lot of time. Things didn't happen over night. However, the time that is invested in getting things up an running to allow the sources of income to flow in should be looked at as an investment. Time put in is money, and money put in is time. They definitely go hand in hand.

Pre-workout supplements have a great impact on your lower body. and as we know lower body workout is harder than upper body exercises. Since pre-workout supplement reduces your perception of effort, it gives you the extra boost needed during strenuous like days.
