Ibiza: The perfect destination for family holidays

Many people instantly overlook Ibiza when looking to organize their next family holiday. The party capital of Europe; full of rowdy groups of teens, boisterous stag parties and energetic hen dos is not the place for a quiet, relaxing family holiday with children. Such conclusions, however, are a mistake. There are many resorts in Ibiza perfectly suited to families, away from the lights of San Antonio Bay. Here are some of the resorts that fit the bill:
Portinatx
Portinatx is a secluded, quiet area on the northwest coast of the island, a good 18 miles away from Ibiza Town. It is perfect for families with three sandy beaches, which are well equipped with water sports to keep older children occupied. The waters are also very calm and swallow, perfect for paddling and for younger children. There are also many family-friendly restaurants, peaceful beach bars and plenty of nearby shops and amenities.

Es Figueral
To the east of the island is the resort of Es Figueral. The beach is one of its best assets due to its size and stunning sea views. The sandy beaches are backed by rocking terrain and green rolling hills making it very popular with adventure-seekers. The beaches and the town are well facilitated with places to eat and relax. It also has some of the best family hotels in Ibiza, where children can often stay for free and enjoy themselves in safe surroundings.

Santa Eulalia
Santa Eulalia is Ibiza´s third largest town situated on the east coast of the island. This area attracts lots of different groups of people including couples and families and also has a large British expat community. Every person, however, is there to enjoy the peace, the beautiful white sandy beach and the shallow clear waters. The picturesque town and promenade offer a pleasant setting by day and good dining and evening entertainment by night.
Despite the islands suitable resorts, however, one of Ibiza´s widely known drawbacks is the price. Being the most famous and popular party destination in Europe also means that it has become one of the most pricey. This leaves many families choosing to opt out. But, what if you didn’t have to pay, what if you could get your stay for free? Invisa Hotels have launched a competition on Facebook that could make that come true. All you have to do is go to the Facebook page, upload a photo of your family holiday that you think can receive the most votes, become a fan and win. The prize is a gift voucher for a free stay for six people for four nights half board in Ibiza.
