Now that my constant-travel-from-place-to-place lifestyle has relaxed a bit, I finally have the time to get a few projects set in motion. So without further ado, here’s some of the new and exciting additions and projects coming to Eye & Pen in the near future...
–“20 Weeks of Travel” is an interview series that will range for (you guessed it!) 20 weeks long, with one interview per week. These interviews will be with a lot of the top public travelers (bloggers, writers, authors, photographers, etc) in the world. The content will also range from nearly every type of travel, as you will be able to see below. If there are any questions that you would love the featured travelers to answer, leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do!

Here’s the schedule (may be subject to changes):
WEEK 01 – Nomadic Travel with Gary Arndt, Everything Everywhere
WEEK 02 – Family Travel with Erin Bender, Travel With Bender
WEEK 03 – Wildlife Travel with Cristina Garcia, Travel For Wildlife
WEEK 04 – Budget Travel with Matthew Kepnes, Nomadic Matt
WEEK 05 – Multi-National Expat Travel with Lis Sowerbutts, Non-Boring Travel Guides
WEEK 06 – Travel Photography with T.B.A.
WEEK 07 – Food Travel with Michelle Dunner, The Foodie World
WEEK 08 – Flashpacker Travel with Charli Moore, Wanderlusters
WEEK 09 – Adventure Travel with Ben West, The Red Rucksack
WEEK 10 – Cultural Travel with Rosalind Cummings-Yeates, Farsighted Fly Girl
WEEK 11 – Solo Female Travel with Kamila Napora, Kami & the Rest of the World
WEEK 12 – Gay Travel with David, That Gay Backpacker
WEEK 13 – Luxury Travel with Hillary, Life With Luggage
WEEK 14 – Solo Parent Travel with Talon, 1 Dad 1 Kid
WEEK 15 – Student Travel with Elicia Sue, Wild Junket
WEEK 16 – Expat Travel with Peg & Brian Peter, A Kilt and A Camera
WEEK 17 – Travel Fashion with Savi Vid, Bruised Passports
WEEK 18 – Work Abroad Travel with Jeanette, Love & Passport
WEEK 19 – Frequent Flier Travel with Cacinda Maloney, Points And Travel
WEEK 20 – Life Transformation Travel with Melanie Cobb, Journey to Wildness

–Travel Origins: Narrative magazine (www.traveloriginsmag.com) has been growing by leaps and bounds and is getting ready for some exciting innovations and new projects. First off, the magazine will now release a new story submission every Sunday – so be sure to look out for that! Second, the Travel Origins quarterly magazine will release its first issue in July – this particular project will need time to grow and to be nurtured, but in the future, it will have loads of specials, discounts and other offers from partnering companies and other travel-related industries. Be sure to look out for the upcoming summer issue – it will be available for free, for download.

Now, the biggest news for the Travel Origins mag is it’s first ever, upcoming yearly (or possibly bi-yearly) WRITING CONTEST! There will be one all-out winner and several runner-ups who will each win a prize from our various friends, travel companies and advertising partners. Trust me, it will be worth it! All entries must be original and never-before-published narrative stories from real, personal travels – the more bizarre and interesting, the better (and a great hook can’t hurt). More information will be released over the following months.

–Eye & Pen will soon have its own shop online. I’m finalizing talks for some exclusive and interesting products that I’m sure you will love! Eventually, I will be releasing unique and special products of my own – they will range from travel-related books, photography guides, and photography products.
