Thank you :)

Ah well, there's a whole lot of trouble you can get into haha. But the cafe's and coffee shops are always fun, to be honest. Great beer store called De Bierkoning (Beer King). Try out some of the little eateries and bakeries. The red light district is an interesting place to visit, even families visit the red streets haha. But the best part was just wandering and getting super lost. It's so much fun.

I have done a lot of these. You should try to love someone you will learn more about yourself without ever having to step foot somewhere else. Some of these I'd still like to do- email me if you need a co- pilot.

Ireland is by far my favorite country (my family's Irish.) I lived there for a month, and I would give anything to get back and visit. What castle(s) have you visited? There are castles in Ireland that you can rent like hotels, and we had a family reunion in one, rented out half of the castle.

What part of Ireland is your family from? What part did you stay at? You should go back to visit! Have you made any plans for a return? Wow, I have visited an extensive list of castles, and loved every one of them.
You must have a huge family to rent out half a castle! How much did it cost, and how long did they allow you and your family to rent it?

Great bucket list - We just made our 60 before 60 lists - 60 things we want to do before we turn 60. It's a fun thing to do. I think we might turn ours into a blog post like you did. Great idea. Awesome photography, too!!

It is a great thing to do! Sometimes life happens so fast that we blink and our glory years are gone. Writing things down and sticking to the list is something that you can work towards. Perhaps achieving one thing every six months, or one thing a year would be great. (obviously tweaking this would be necessary depending upon your age) :)

You should most certainly write your list. If you wait too long, you may forget some of the fun things that you want to accomplish today. Do yourself a favor, write that list! When your done, share it with me.

Well, I did it. I started my bucket list today and immediately booked the first item: try to learn a little Spanish via a 30 day Spanish Immersion class in Guanajuato Mexico!

I am not a young man so my bucket list is necessarily short.

I probably would never have done this without having read your blog which rekindled my love of travel.

Gracias!

Hi Brandon,

had a look through your site and blog - really interesting and informative plus I love the photos!

I love this 'Bucket List' post as it is something I was starting to compile myself and it is nice to see that yours is a continuing to grow. I have written a post where I am looking for 'must-see' places in America as I will eventually be living there, so thanks for your ideas via Twitter. Feel free to leave some ideas on my blog post.

Having read your list - I hope you get to see the Great Pyramids. I loved visiting Egypt and if you want some unusual wines/ciders/spirits then Cornwall has some wonderful, local creations!

Good luck with experiencing all you can!

Visit asia...and the Philippines and cross out some in your list like
-teach english in asia
-live with a tribe, visit Batad or Banaue rice terraces, experience the culture & life of the locals.
-find a hidden gem (El Nido Palawan, check out Dedon Island and other Filipino travel bloggers too) :)

Curious about put a bad man away. You can see the northern lights in Yellowknife. My bucket lists seem to be more about revisits.
Like going back to Oregon after 30 years and next year Quebec City revisit after 30 years. However the thing to remember is never be afraid to challenge yourself

Putting a bad man away means that I would like to help discover and confront a criminal or something to that nature. Perhaps being a part of an investigation and then being there when they capture the "bad man". :)
I think it is very important to continue to challenge yourself. You can never realize your true potential until you step out of your comfort zone from time to time.

Than you! I am certainly trying to accomplish them in a timely manner! Life is too short to hold off on doing the things that you love. Have you written your own bucket list? What type of things are you adding to it?

What a fantastic and extensive bucket list.

Congratulations on the achievements so far too. Many people just sit and dream... You've achieved a tremendous amount of stuff.

And you've inspired me to create a much bigger bucket list.

Thank you!

Thank you for the congratulations! I do agree with you that many people sit and dream. It doesn't have to be that way however. I encourage the people who are simply dreaming to take that trip, or to take that pen and paper and jot down things that you want to accomplish this year even.

"Truly love someone"/"Truly Help Someone"/"Do plenty of volunteer work" should be on everyone's list. Inspiring! - you can cross "Inspire someone" off your list twice....gonna add a few of yours to my own. Paintball hurts. I recommend laser tag. Have you ever thought of creativelive.com for a teaching seminar? I will have to say that two are kinda contradictory: "Rescue an animal"/"Hunt and game an animal". Maybe you can rescue the animal in the end? ;) For the wine, you might want to stop in Napa in CA. I can suggest a few. For Broadway: Les Mis. And PLEASE create a photography/photoshop tutorial. I will sign up for sure. I have photoshop and I'm pretty lame at it and would love to buy a real camera if I knew what to do with it, so I highly appreciate what you do. So, which one have you crossed off is your favorite so far? And which one are you most looking forward to?

Aw haha thank you :) I'm glad, it's my goal!

Hm, that's a hard question... My favorite is probably biased because it's fresh in my memory – The Highlands/Isle of Skye, Scotland.

And looking forward to quite a few, visiting other parts of the world is high up there, surely :)

I am inspired! Italy was my most recent experience and we were able to get the guy who paddled our gondola to sing us a love song in Italian :D. Ride an elephant is on my top, I guess I will have to think about adding riding a camel. What is Ireland like!?

Ireland is amazing. It is the most beautiful place with wonderful architecture to admire for hours! You should certainly add a trip to Ireland to your list! There is so much stuff to do there that you could spend an entire year discovering.

LOL - You made me smile. Interesting adds....surprised by the staying in 5 star resorts one. BTW, if you want to cruise for free on Princess so you can cross that off your list, I can show you how. To Kill a Mockingbird and Schindler's List are masterpieces(100 best movies). But, why are none of the top 100 movies funny? That's not going to help your goal of smiling more. Do Hawaii in March(the whales migrate there for mating season). Waitomo caves (and NZ in general) was an awesome experience. I remember there was an Irish girl behind me and she just kept saying, "Holy Mary, Mother of God" as we floated through them. :) I'm pretty sure you've already hired the 2 private investigators (being a Scorpio, and all). Happy Birthday. Hope you had a good one. What was your favorite thing about today?

Comment much? Nice to see your responding to comments. ;) I know it's probably difficult when you have so many. For princess - if you are a travel agent and have a IATA number(or you can sign up with a free host company), you take the Princess training. Several hours, but then, you get to choose a free cruise. :) Worth it. Right?

Awe, thank you Jaimi! Your words of encouragement mean a lot to me. I encourage you to write your list down so that nothing slips your mind. Are you going to SXSW this year? For me, it's either this year or next. Haven't decided. Money is a factor though. Was just in Vegas and was in the hotel that hosts the Blue Man Group. It's surprisingly the cheapest show in town. I'm not sure why they've done so well. They do have a bit of shock factor, and are creepy with their blue heads, and drum all sorts of random things (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOLBn8GKBlA), but they pretty much leave me cold. But, I've seen Cirque du Soleil several times, and they easily balance fantasy, beauty, acrobatics, and story, so I believe it's more worth your time and money even though more expensive. I've also heard the Blarney Stone is hard to get to? You have to walk up a gazillion steps and bend over backward? Also heard it's smaller than expected. Was it worth it? :) I'll probably go through the trouble if ever in Ireland, but just wondering.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting. I guess you could say it is a bit of a shock factor. It is worth going to Blarney Stone. It is something that you only experience once because you may not want to take the journey again. lol.

Yeah, definitely recommend Cirque du Soleil. Their shows are like you're in a dream. But a good dream. A little bit trippy, but ethereal, magical, with a bit of whimsy. Very creative, too.

Hey Brandon!
I'm a list person. I'm also a veteran travel bug & novice blogger and I can say whole heartedly this is near perfect to the ultimate bucket list, if I ever did see one!
Happy to have checked off some myself and excited to welcome some new ideas and editions to mine, thanks! If I could give any must do's back it would be the weird and majestic experience of seeing the bright blue speckles of bio luminescent plankton lighting up the shores here in the Maldives! Of course.. there's a blog about it if you'd like to read more ;)
Good luck with your list! I'm excited to be following the journey.

This is a wonderful list, and you've already accomplished so many incredible things! If you don't mind my thoughts on a few of your points (which are also some of my favorite points you list)..

- Be genuinely happy
- Have a spiritual awakening
- Master Yoga

I would like to show you that none of these things can ever be accomplished - which is what makes them such great states to strive for. Being happy, being spiritual - these are not things you experience and move on from. These are things that only you have the power to make your present moment, at all times. Having a spiritual awakening is not something you can go out and look for, rather, be open to allow it to happen to you. This could happen anywhere, at any time. But if you are LOOKING for it, surely you will never find it.
Yoga is similar. Yoga is about deepening your practice, becoming ever more self aware, ever more in the current moment. You can practice yoga, but as soon as you consider yourself a 'Master' of yoga, you have missed the point, and again become a beginner.

I suppose my point is here.. This is a fantastic list. However, do not spend your life striving to cross things off of a list, and miss out on all the beautiful things that can happen, if you just enjoy the moment, go with the flow, and allow life to happen as it wishes.

Namaste!
