When you think of glorious white sandy beaches dotted with the odd magnificent palm tree, you no longer have to imagine the often highly expensive Caribbean islands, for now you will know of a much cheaper paradise. With it's glorious seaside resorts, and contrasting untouched countryside, why not consider a holiday to Dalaman?
Located on Turkey's south west side, it has been attracting holiday-makers throughout the centuries. Even in history, it was noted as the destination of choice for Greek God's like Apollo and Pegasus, and this is reflected in the many historical sites Dalaman has to offer.

Starting with beaches, often called the Turquoise Coast, its shore is formulated of spotless lengths of sand, and sunny bays and coves. Indeed, Icmeler, with its famous bars, and great array of watersports is almost the complete package. Yet if you are more interested with an underwater landscape, Olu Deniz is famed for its Blue Lagoon which is known to be so amazing, it’s now a national park.

Don't be pre-occupied with just the sea though, as this area's mountainous backbone is known for its safari days, hiking opportunities, or varied landscape for the intrepid explorer among us. There are numerous nearby day trips to cultural sites like Ephesus, which is famously known as a city from the Roman Empire. Meanwhile, you wouldn't have to wander far to encounter white washed picturesque towns or neighboring towering cosmopolitan marinas. However, even these newer and more tourist friendly sights have been carefully built to ensure they don't loose any native flavor.

With this only short list of things to do noted already, it's easy to realize why Dalaman is such a popular area. Direct Holidays can offer you the perfect way to book a trip to this magical destination, with its competitive combination of beaches and quality nightlife, offering something for all tastes.
