Accommodation Recommendation: Bentwood Inn, Wyoming, USA

In the heart of the stunning Grand Tetons, the Bentwood Inn is a bed and breakfast that offers a unique flavor unlike any other. The Grand Teton mountain range is a part of the North American Rockies, and is often described as being among the discussion of the most beautiful mountains in the world. The mountains jut up and out of the earth, and far into the sky, running north to south from Yellowstone and beyond Jackson city. On one side, Wyoming’s sweeping prairie and badlands slope up along the Teton range and then come down into Idaho, offering scenic views, opportunities to see wildlife, and to adventure in the great outdoors, where much of the forest remains generally unspoiled.
Nestled against the Grand Tetons sits Teton Village, the famous ski village, and just south of that is Wilson, where the Bentwood Inn is located. My wife Leah and I had the pleasure of staying a night at the Bentwood Inn when we visited the area last month. The Bentwood Inn is one of the most beautiful accommodations I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, due to its cabin style wood build and its overall comfortable inner aesthetic. The logs used to build the Bentwood were incorporated from a forest fire, so you can see the character of the fire in its charred details.

The Bentwood Inn has stunning architecture, a home away from home vibe that is brought to life with history and art from the American west. The innkeepers, Aiden and Alorra, are adorable and wonderful people, who were kind to us, and interesting to hang out with. We loved their attitude and the fact that they shared their talents in cooking and music with us. Aiden is a killer violinist who sent us to bed with chills with a rendition from his orchestral days. But before that, Alorra’s cooking skills were showcased for dinner, where we enjoyed a fantastic steak and a delightful berry cobbler for desert.

Our room was the Polo room, which offered two queen beds, a comfortable bathroom and all the amenities we could need, along with a shared kitchenette outside our door. It was quiet and cozy, and our room was more spacious than most. Also, I can tell you that I slept like a baby, which was much needed after such a long drive from Ohio. All in all, we loved our stay and hope to go back again someday. The Bentwood Inn is an awesome place to relax, and to meet interesting people.
