The Edinburgh Castle lets you experience past royalty and history - you can look over the entirety of the medieval paradise of the city at great heights. From this elevation, you’re able to envision what the Dark Ages and the Roman occupation was like - more than 3,000 years ago.
"Unrest of spirit is a mark of life; one problem after another presents itself and in the solving of them we can find our greatest pleasure."
The Olympics remain the most compelling search for excellence that exists in sport, and maybe in life itself. –Dawn Fraser
Goal: Attend the Olympics
There are approximately 12 more Olympic (summer) Games before I would die, according to the average life expectancy of males in the USA. Somewhere in the next 50 years, I’d like to roll up to the Olympics and experience all the fun, games and hoopla. The Olympic Games have been arguably the most important stage for athletes to compete, in the history of the world - starting in 776 BC in ancient Greece.
I feel as though the Olympics are a once in a lifetime experience - even just for a viewer.

This article is more than just a list of what I wish I could do if money was no object in my life; it’s more than a song by the Barnaked Ladies. It’s a dreamers cry to just get it all out now, and maybe then I can concentrate on taking the steps in following my dreams.
And just to get this out of the way, I’m a humble person (who has had success and loss, like many others before me) and would live my life happily ever after with my family in a shack on an island or in a mountain. I’d have no problem surviving - thriving, even - as far away from civilization as possible, with its Apple stores, Ikeas and McDonalds’ on every block. I do understand that having money makes getting what you want way easier, but seriously, money doesn’t buy happiness. With that said, this article is just feeding my hungry thoughts of unproductive dreaming. (Photo by Andreii Vodolashskyi / iStock)
