OK - again, I’m sarcastic... It’s not THAT bad.
![]() Imagine the scariest place on earth to stay a night at - spooky, decrepit and disheveled, with narrow passages and flickering hallway lights. Picture pitch darkness, accompanied by creaky wood floors and a creepy supernatural auras. A hostel where the inhabitants are not just humans; where men, women and children are outnumbered 10,000 to 1. You know, an establishment offering lavished trash-free rooms with a maximum capacity of only 4-6 double bunk beds that are never soiled, stained or reprieved from bodily fluids. OK - again, I’m sarcastic... It’s not THAT bad.

“Who but the artist has the power to open man up, to set free the imagination? The others - priest, teacher, saint, statesman, warrior - hold us to the path of history. They keep us chained to the rock, that the vultures may eat out our hearts. It is the artist who has the courage to go against the crowd; he is the unrecognized "hero of our time" - and of all time.” ― Henry Miller
![]() Goal: Experience Angel Falls from the air Angel Falls is another secret, shared on BBC’s amazing series Planet Earth. At 3,212 feet, it’s the highest waterfall in the world - located in the Canaima National Park of Venezuela. South America is, of course high on my life of the places I plan to visit. And I have to say that, rather than feeling relieved (from all that has been ailing me up until this point) and overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation, I feel a deep feeling of sorrow (literally deep, down, to my core - perhaps, best described as an aching in my bones). I’m not upset, per say, not exactly sad, but a feeling of overall ache; a deeply seeded twinge from the depths of my heart. Travel does this with the very stuff that everyday life is made of, giving to it the sharp contour and meaning of art." –Freya Stark
