Recently, my friends challenged me to do something different and learn something new. Not one to back down from a dare, I jumped in with two feet and that’s how I found myself sipping on some Moroccan tea, looking at the ocean in Essaouira, waiting for my very first kitesurfing lesson. Yikes!
The experience of traveling to a destination is subject to circumstance and event. Someone may have a wonderful and unique time in Rome, by staying at a hostel or couch surfing, by meeting great people and having an overall positive time there. However, others may have a completely different experience, based on who they met, where they stayed, and what happened. For each and every person, a place will feel different and the experiences one has there will differ from anybody else’s, no matter the kind of destination. Travel and perception are both subject to the relationship of experience in each individual’s eyes.
The United States gets a bit of a bad wrap when it comes to its culinary style, but in truth, there are endless delicacies available everywhere you look. Sure, America loves its comfort foods, but who doesn’t? Unlike most countries of the world, the USA is just too damn big to have a set food style that ranges from the East coast to the West – although you can find a good pizza, sub sandwich, and burger just about anywhere). So, to really get to the bottom it all, you really have to look under a microscope to truly understand and appreciate what culinary wonders the U.S. boasts.
I’ve been asked to write a series guiding CheapOair customers through the finer points of Travel Photography. I’ve been a professional photographer for nearly ten years and I must say there’s just as much luck as there is skill involved in creating strong images that give justice to the destination. But mixing skill and the basic knowledge, with some patience, you can absolutely improve your photography to which you can be in the ‘awe’ of your family and friends once you return home from your glorious adventures.
The United Kingdom is jam-packed full of interesting places to visit. From the major-metropolis of London to Scotland’s magical highlands, there are endless places to visit that will provide you with a unique travel experience. While the Great British Pound Sterling is head and shoulders over most world currencies, visiting may be unique and interesting, but it can also be quite expensive for travelers. Most people around the world think that altogether, travel is extremely expensive, but the truth is, with some discipline and planning, travel can be quite affordable – even cheaper than one’s monthly bills of renting an apartment and paying for utility bills.
High up on most people’s to-do list is a Caribbean cruise. It’s no wonder really, with the chance to visit several sun-kissed paradise islands all within the space of a few days. Who could pass up that golden opportunity?
