I receive loads of questions from prospective and seasoned travelers, bloggers and fans alike, and I’d wish to sort of syphon the more popular reoccurring topics into the blog. I believe some of them may help others as well (and save me some time from answering the same questions over and over).
SO, now until December 22nd, please submit any and all questions in a comment below, on Twitter, Facebook or by email. I will publish my answers around the first of the month in January. Ask me anything related to travel, photography, or blogging - personal questions can be okay too.
NOTICE: There is no guarantee that every single question will be answered. All inappropriate questions will be ignored, deleted and you will be blocked.

Misdirection at the Bacardi distillery

Sometimes I have bright ideas like walking an hour from the Cataño Ferry to the Bacardi distillery. I walked along the ocean, through some dodgy neighborhoods, passed a cemetery and then finally arrived to Casa Bacardi an hour later. I was covered in sweat by the time that I was greeted by the grand entrance lined with gold lettering, and centered by a security booth mounted in between the streets. I received a strange look from the guard as I explained I was here for the tour - apparently not many people walk freely around in Puerto Rico. He pointed out that I was almost there, I just needed to proceed through the gated entrance and to the left near the parking lot. His accent was thick, but comparable and just as I expected, bad spanglish.

Bucket list - Safari

The idea of an African safari is nothing new, it’s been the jewel of the explorer’s eye for more than two centuries. Much like two hundred years ago, when William Cornwallis Harris led the first ‘safari’ expedition purely to observe the wildlife and landscape, Africa is still wild, beautiful and partially an undiscovered destination. Africa is home to over 1100 interesting and unique species of mammals, ranging from zebras, hyenas, gazelles and lions, to crocodiles, hogs and hippos, as well as gorillas, giraffes and wildebeests.
Before I kick the bucket, I wish to spend years exploring all that Africa has to offer. If I had my choice, I would live on the land with the indigenous tribes, learning and experiencing their style of life. I would not accompany any tours or professional safaris, I’d rather experience the real Africa, by getting lost in the wilderness. I believe that living among the animals and the people is the only way to get a true feel for the unique world, that of the continent of Africa.

When you’re a beginning photographer, knowing your camera is an important first step. Learning the settings on your camera can be boring and feel like a foreign language at first. But like most things, they become second nature with a little studying and practice. There are plenty of resources available online and in book form that cover the basic settings for modern photography, but many are overly detailed and make learning feel like a daunting task for some newbies.
So without further ado, here are some basic points to remember... (Warning: some cameras, especially point and shoots, do not allow the user to have complete control over every setting mentioned)
