Magnificent villages nestled at the foot of mountain ranges and others embraced by lakes with crystal clear waters compose a unique setting in many parts of Europe. Villages are not so widely known globally, but enchanting in appearance and atmosphere that can offer memorable moments to their visitors.
Canazei, Italy
Built in the magnificent Val di Fassa of Trentino, this welcoming village enjoys a privileged location near Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites, in northern Italy. With less than 2,000 inhabitants, Canazei is a global landmark for ski enthusiasts flocking to the area to enjoy the 25-kilometre slopes. For those who prefer cosiness, to adventure, the village is also known for its warm mountain shelters and traditional local cuisine.

Torla, Spain
Suppose you are looking for a destination away from civilization, surrounded by a natural majesty, recognized by UNESCO. In that case, there is no better choice than the village of Torla in the Spanish province of Aragon. It is part of the Ordesa - Viñamala area, which is a quiet mountain paradise with valleys, black pine forests and impressive waterfalls. After a day of sightseeing in the nearby Ordesa y Monte Perdido Park, you can spend your evening enjoying wine and homemade food in one of the traditional taverns of the village, in the alleys with the beautiful stone houses.

Cavalese, Italy
The small alpine village of Cavalese is one of the most charming options in Italy. Nestled high in the Dolomites, Cavalese is every nature lover's dream. It is built between the stunning natural parks of Monte Corne and Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino and is close to Latemar, recognized by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful places on Earth for its epic landscapes and rich fauna.

Olden, Norway
Let's take a break from the Alps and the Pyrenees and head north to Olden, a picturesque town of about 500 people, located on one of Norway's largest and most impressive fjords. While the city is quiet most of the year, it has become a popular cruise spot thanks to its proximity to the unique Jostedalsbreen Nature Park and dreamy scenery consisting of mountains, waterfalls and enchanting frozen lakes.

Notre Dame de Bellecombe, France
The Savoy region of France is full of impressive landscapes and picturesque villages, but the small town of Notre Dame de Bellecombe manages to combine all the things we love about the villages in the Alps in a magical little package. Wake up to the sound of the 11th-century church bell tower, enjoy the unique scenery of the snowy Alps, warm up at the city wine festival, and you will realize that Notre Dame de Bellecombe has all the ingredients for a perfect mountain getaway. Located in that area, you could not miss your visit to one of the famous resorts in the French Alps.

Modern facilities, dozens of activities and enchanting landscapes await you to create unique memories for you and your family. Whether you are a ski lover or not, this visit to the French Alps is a must for all of you who are looking for something different and distinctive from your vacation. You can contact Nuco Travel today and book a budget accommodation package in one of the dozens of Alpine resorts, perhaps securing the vacation of a lifetime.

San Martino di Castrozza, Italy
This small village has always been a place of relaxation for tired travellers crossing the Alps and has recently become a hotspot for those looking for a place near the Paneveggio Natural Park - Pale di San Martino, but also an opportunity to taste famous wines, honey, sweets and cheeses. Skiers have access to slopes in the surrounding mountains and the opportunity to do many more activities, such as paragliding in summer.
