When traveling for business, finding time to keep up with ones hygienic needs can be a struggle, especially with the never-ending hustle and bustle of the constant changing of locations, from taxi to bus, to plane, the different airports and hotels, and all this while a schedule is demanded of you by your employer. It can be stressful, and it can be easy to let the grind wear you down, especially when your body needs something, yet your time limits keep you bound and always running.

For me, when I travel for business, I put some time and effort into planning ahead, to both limit my stress level peaking and to ensure that I’m able to continue operating at my normal high level. Few things are worse than when the world feels like it’s caving in around you, which is why I take a near-perfectionist approach to my travel planning. Plus, if you’re an avid reader of Eye & Pen, you already know that years back when I first started traveling, I made countless mistakes that ended up taking up a lot of time and money that could have been prevented. But how else can one learn but by doing?

For a man, facial hair tends to do best as invisible, but often times luggage restrictions and tight spaces force men to travel light when it comes to shaving and body care products and other toiletries. I found that it’s best to keep packed items limited, as versatile as possible so that I can get multiple uses out of a single object (if, and where, possible), and as small as possible, because it’s no fun having to lug around an overweight bag that may be a pain in the butt to repack again. So travel light.

On my traditional backpacker trips, I wing it, and take no shaving tools with me, but on business trips, where appearance is as important as the meeting itself most times, I choose a specific shaver to get me through. One that I particular like for this style of travel is the ProFoil Lithium, a titanium foil shaver that is small, cordless, and capable of making short work of a five o’ clock shadow in a flash. The reason is that it’s tiny at 4.75” in length and weighing at around 3.2 ounces. It an fit anywhere, even in a pocket, and is powerful enough to assist in a rush. The foil is made up of gold titanium foils, which are hypo-allergenic. The motor is a rotary style, which means it’s quiet, which is perfect for business travelers in need of a quick shave, even as you’re exiting the plane and heading off toward your first meeting.

Primary features:
  • Lithium-ion battery provides maximum power.
  • Delivers over 1 hour of runtime on a single charge - 2x longer than other shavers.
  • Lightweight - less than 5 ounces.
  • Powerful and quiet rotary motor.
  • Gold titanium hypo-allergenic foil for irritation-free shaving.
