For most of my life I was not a tea drinker, however something changed in me a few years ago, be it due to age or due to influence, but now I am a tea lover of all kinds and tastes, which is why I thought it important to talk about that today. Tea is basically dried leaves, flowers, herbs, and roots that can be steeped in boiling hot water, which then causes the essence, flavor, scent and healing properties of the plants to seep into the water. From there, you have a brilliant cup of unique tasting tea, which has shown to boost mood, immune system functionality, soothe digestion issues, boost energy through natural caffeine, as well as help fight cancer, among countless other benefits.

The reason I love tea so much is that it helps me regulate mood and digestion, as well as help me fight insomnia, while also inspiring focus in my often reeling mind. You wouldn’t believe how often I wake up with a fog on the brain, to where I struggle with my words when I write, but with a proper routine that includes tea, among other things like a hot shower in the morning, followed by exercise, and eating a healthier diet, I notice the difference in my mood and in my work. There are even mushroom teas now-a-days, which assist with detox, focus, immunity, and stamina, and since they’re often blended teas, they don’t taste much like mushrooms; which is something I will talk more on in a bit.

Choice Organic Teas is one of my goto brands, because their teas are always organic, mostly non-GMO, and typically offer noticeable effects that boost my quality of life, and keep me operating at a high level. I reached out to Choice to send me a few of their most popular kinds to help assist me in this feature, and they sent me their Organic Chamomile tea, along with their Mental Focus tea, Body Stress Relief tea, Shiitake Turmeric Immunity Support tea, Reishi Detox tea, among an assortment of other individual packets. I’ve spent the past month testing them and now I bring you the results…

Choice Organic Teas’ Chamomile is perhaps the best tasting, cleanest chamomile that I’ve tried, which come straight from Egypt, offering a peaceful effect that I find calming and delicious, and is perfect for stressful days and night time easing. Choice offers several blended teas that bring together a variety of flavors and healing herbs that create a lovely synergic effect, with each aimed at a specific ailment or goal. Their Body Stress Relief tea consists of Moringa Leaf, Roasted Carob Pod, Licorice Root, Plantain Leaf, Dandelion Leaf, Turmeric Root, Ashwagandha Root, Meadowsweet Leaf, Elderberry Berry, which all come together to create a mood boosting, relaxing feeling that I found to be quite effective. The one wellness tea blend that Choice Organic Teas specializes in, that I found to be particularly powerful, is that of their Mental Focus tea, which marries together the following ingredients: Gotu Kola Leaf, Lemongrass Leaf, Peppermint Leaf, Licorice Root, Ginkgo Leaf, Lemon Peel Oil, Ginkgo Leaf Extract (all organic). So when I’m suffering from that fog I mentioned earlier, I like to have a cup of Mental Focus.

New to Choice is their Mushroom Wellness teas, which in being consistently honest, I was a bit scared of trying first off. I regularly eat mushrooms and take a mushroom supplement when I feel cold and flu symptoms come over me, as I’ve noticed their immune system aiding effects, but when you consider the taste of straight mushrooms used as a tea, I don’t think many people would find that idea very agreeable. However, Choice has pulled off the feat, because their mushroom teas (at least the two I’ve tried) had amazing flavors, like that of the Reishi Detox, which brings together a blend of detoxifying flowers and herbs, roots and barks, with some cinnamon, vanilla and cacao, which ends up having a lovely, warm, chocolatey flavor, which makes it easier to take down everyday for detoxing. The other mushroom tea I tried was the Shiitake Turmeric, which also did not sound very appetizing at first, but is indeed delicious; as it blends Shiitake Mushroom with Turmeric, Chamomile Flower, and Licorice Root, with a natural Blueberry Flavor, and the overall taste comes out quite appetizing. My fiancé used this tea when she came down with the full on influenza type-B, and she noticed it working well for her.
