Sydney is one of those iconic cities that has so much to offer. It is multicultural, has a fantastic climate, has a beautiful bay, and of course the opera house. Let's take a look at five superb features of Sydney that add to that magical feeling it gives to just about everyone that visits. Whether you are heading to Sydney for holiday or to relocate, read on to get a glimpse of the appeal that is waiting for you.
An excellent beach city
There are some great beaches in Sydney, and sunscreen is a must. One of the best beaches is Palm Beach, which is an hours drive down 8 Coast Road. The scenery along the way is fabulous.
If you are going to Sydney with your family, another great beach is Clovely Beach. The beaches are clean, fast and are exactly what you want for a relaxing day by the sea.

Picturesque scenery
There is no doubt that Sydney is a beautiful city. Everything from the bay to the Royal Botanic Garden, to the stunning skyline and leafy Paddington area just takes your breath away. The architecture of bridges and buildings, parks and even restaurants are something to behold. You'll constantly be taking photos of this organised, clean, and beautiful metropolis.

Loads to do for the family
The beauty of Sydney is that there is plenty to do for the family as well. You can jump on a ferry from Circular Quay past the upper house and on the Harbour Bridge. You can enjoy the thrills of the Luna Park fairground. Taronga zoo, overlooking Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge is a superb attraction. You can even camp in the zoo in safari-style luxury tents.
Sydney is family friendly and there's also loads of free stuff today. The wildlife in Sydney is amazing for a city. You'll come across water dragons, lorikeets, cacophonous cockatoos, fruit bats and much more.

Superb markets and shops
Shopping in Sydney is a fun experience. There are buzzing markets, luxury boutique stores and plenty of faces to get souvenirs. Westfield Sydney is in the city centre, and is a sensational four-foot shopping centre dedicated primarily to fashion. Find international and local brands when you amble through the Queen Victoria building and Strand Arcade.
Make sure you enjoy the weekend markets, rocks market, bond the market and Paddington markets, which are all great for fashion, souvenirs and gifts.

If you are moving to Sydney and this is a visit to find out more, then make sure you try out Eveleigh farmers market, where there is a massive range of fresh produce. If you are in that journey of relocation then visit ausmove.co.nz to find out more about life in Australia beyond what you see yourself on your visit. Make sure you visit plenty of forums and talk to expats as well.

Vineyards and the coffee culture
Being a multicultural city, Sydney has the best of lots of cultures. Those living in Australia, and particularly in Sydney, love their coffee shops. There’s a wave of Italian and continental European migration port with it fantastic coffee culture. People in Sydney are some of the most discerning coffee drinkers in the world. That's fantastic for those on holiday and living in Sydney.
Just two hours drive to the north of Sydney is Hunter Valley, the oldest wine region in Australia. This wine region is a big producer of quality wine and is worth a visit.

Sydney truly is a magical place to holiday or live. This article has just touched on a few snippets or highlights. We haven’t gone into the food, which is fabulous, the spectacular mountain views, snorkelling opportunities, the art culture, the aboriginal history and the amiable population. It is no wonder that people are moving to Sydney in their tens of thousands every year.
