In September of 2013, I was roaming around the enchanting island of Ireland for over two months, and one of the most majestic and moody places that I visited was in Connemara. The park of Connemara is an awesome experience as it is, but once you start touring the local areas, villages, and historic places, you begin to discover a deeper connection with the land and the ancient people. While the Gothic Church of Kylemore Abbey near Connemara isn't all that ancient, the power and the emotion of the Irish lands are evident in many places around the country, and that is no truer here. I walked from the Victorian Walled Gardens, down the bank of the Pollacapall Lough, passed the famous Kylemore Abbey, to where this little, yet beautiful gothic church sat, almost hidden within the trees. I was the only person around at the time of this photograph, and I feel as though I was meant to capture it – as if something had aligned at that very moment. The emotion I felt was almost tangible. *Offer ends when the next Friday's Fine Art Feature image is published.
