Travelling and seeing the world is a thrilling experience, especially a learning experience as well. You’ll be familiarising yourself with new culture facing you, language barriers to comprehend, in which you try to understand, and lastly, directions and local whereabouts to consider for your travels.
Contemplating on where you’re travelling to is one thing, whether you did your research before you go or your motive is to find a nice cheap hot destination by the beach or pool. Whatever the case may be, it is handy to know your whereabouts. I’ve seen many helpful guides for tourists in a fair few different destinations over the years, but I’ve learnt not all things are covered in every place you travel to, exactly.
Confusion can be led by many things, not just language barriers. Misunderstanding specific traditions and culture are another thing people don’t consider. It may be convenient to grasp a few considerations of where you’re travelling to, before you visit.
Even if it’s a quick weekend getaway to somewhere you’ve never been to before. It’s always a good thing to show your willingness to learn and to adapt towards new culture and any traditions.
I soon learnt about the famous brand names we all know and see every day. They’re many different variations in names and designs/logos, surprisingly. Who would of thought, your local KFC is named PFK in parts of Canada, or Burger King is named Hungry Jack’s in Australia.
It was interesting to see a brand name comparison guide made by Data label. You can see below useful different takes on the brands we normally see day to day. Keep your eye out as there’s some surprising ones as well as interesting ones to consider for us travellers.
When travelling, it’s beneficial to know the differences between not just brands and their different names, but also the local foods as well.
