Ever wonder what it would be like if we did not have moving images? Or videos to watch? Or the ability to capture special events and share them with other people?

Sounds like a dull life to me.

1970, was the year this concept first took hold. Events like weddings and parties were famously recorded and as the demand for this grew, so did the audience’s preferences for expanding towards other markets.
Cinematography made all this possible. The video equivalent of moving images recorded on film, which we know as cinematography, is referred to as - videography. The initiation of digital video recording in the late 20th century distorted the difference between cinematography and videography i.e. both of these methods had similar mechanisms.

Nowadays, any video work that is done outside of the marketable motion picture production or movies, can be called the same, and a person who works in this field is often referred to as a Videographer. The difference between the two is that the later records his videos using a tape drive video camera or a flash card.

When computers were introduced back in the 1980s, and with it the internet, it made possible the global reach of videos that covered major fields in various industries. Not to mention only shooting of videos wasn’t enough, but it also began to include aspects of computer graphics (CGI) and digital animation. And this led to far more aesthetically pleasing online games, web sites, blogging, medical imagery even. Everything that was either vector or bitmap was covered. On shooting sets, the videographer is usually the guy behind the camera, recording everything from different angles and spaces and on set in movies he is part of the production crew. With all the latest technology and capabilities nowadays, this process can be done on both land and under water using water proof equipment. It is one of the most important roles in any event scale or smaller production, such as documentaries, commercials and advertisements, live events like weddings or parties, short films, corporate training videos and lots more.

What to Look for When Hiring A Videography Company?
You’ve got everything planned for your big day and the one thing missing is someone who can record it so you can show it to your kids and their kids and your friends for years to come. But how do you find the right people for the job? The task of finding a videographer New Holland PA, should be a simple one.

Let’s narrow it down for you. When looking for a company that will fit your every need, you need to look for some simple characteristics or trademarks. If these tick all the boxes, then you are onto the right track:

1. Look for a company that has a varied niche. For instance, they would cover events like a baptism, memorial, a fund raising i.e. they should cover both personal events as well as business ones too. This is indicative of experience and know-how.
2. The second thing to look for is Quality. The company must be an ambassador for quality. Most have examples of videos that they have created and also client testimonials on their websites. Feel free to look through them.
3) Customer Service should be a priority for them. Good customer service should be the number one priority in any institution - It shows respect and integrity. There needs to be a good amount of communication between the company and the clients, and they should be able to answer all your queries as best as they can, and as promptly as possible. Find out more here.
4) They need to have professionalism, honesty, and integrity. A lot of the times when companies do business with their clients, once the initial payments have been made, the communication stops and the excuses begin. The best judge of this is again client testimonials or speaking to the company team face to face yourself.

There are very few methods that can come close to capturing the remarkable results that a video camera can and with so many possibilities to match. Aspects like the human emotion, different sounds, different movements, the arousal of all your five senses, can only be captured using video, this compared to still images don’t stand a chance – the possibilities are endless!
