Minimalism At Its Finest: featuring the iHome iCVBT10

With every shift in perception comes a new movement and that is no truer than it is today when concerning the minimalist movement. Many of us have noticed the impact our ever-growing population has had on the earth and that realization has manifest itself in a change in our perception of what’s important and now a growing movement toward minimalism is among us. Others have simply grown tired of the crutch of importance we hold for our things and so many folks are simplifying their lives, their needs and expectations. This shift can only have a positive effect on the environment, and for that I support it.

I, myself, am also enthralled by this new imagining of lifestyle, as I have plans with my wife to build an A-frame tiny home, with many minimalist approaches taken to limit the space needed to live as basically as we need. We are designing in things like a dining table that folds down from the wall and can be stored upward when not in use, and can be easily transformed into a simple workspace or place to eat. We are also thinking creatively about storage, using the staircase to the bedroom loft as drawers, the angled sides of the A-frame shape as closets, and we’re also cutting down on how much stuff we actually wish to store in our home. This is not the easiest of practices at first, but it is freeing to say the least.

It is this new shift in thinking that has millions rethinking their needs and therefore their footprint on this planet, and I think that’s a beautiful first step toward finding a balanced place for humans on earth. With the minimalist movement, a new and exciting range of possibilities are becoming available, like that of the creative living styles of IKEA. This movement isn’t going away, and it is only spreading, and while humans continue to outpace all other life on earth, we will continue to see drastic shifts in how we live. One of those exciting possibilities is the way new electronics are being built to not only save space, but to also pair up a wide range of dualities.

I recently reached out to iHome to feature their iCVBT10 Vanity Mirror, so that I could speak further on the minimalist movement. The iCVBT10 is precisely the types of products that are helping to save space and lessen our environmental footprint. It’s loaded with a dynamic bluetooth speaker, speakerphone and USB charging dock. This mirror is not only eye-catching, but it’s packed full of useful features like a 3.5” removable detail mirror with 10x magnification, bright LEDs with high and low settings, as well as wireless streaming via Bluetooth, a built-in mic, digital voice echo cancellation, and answer and end controls for phone calls.

What this means is that you can ditch the stereo system, the bedside speaker, the mirror and simply roll all of the uses together into this pretty package that not only saves you a ton of space, but simplifies your life. These are the types of products that define minimalism, so if you came into this article thinking that minimalism was for the poor who do not have much to their name, then you’re wrong, because there are tons of classy, yet affordable options to turn your life toward the minimal, for the better of us all.
