No Better Feeling Than That of Endless Possibilities: featuring Victorinox Swiss Army Luggage

In life, and in travel, I would argue that there is no better feeling than that of endless possibilities. To feel relief from a long, cramped trip through the air, to then retrieve your luggage from the carousel and to venture out from the concourse. A rush of new possibilities can overcome the newfound adventurer like few other experiences in life. With new opportunities in a new land, with new smells, of fresh air, and new people, comes a beautiful freeing and opening of ones mind and world, which is an experience that everyone should have at one point or another.

Traveling and delving deeply into the many cultures of the world is the best way to find out who you really are, and to expand your mind as well as your understanding of how the world works, and your place in it. Without the expansion of ones experiences, it is easy to fall into the same traps of past generations, but with true travel comes a deeper empathy for all living life, as well as a sense of belonging. How travel affects ones mindset and outlook is often due to being left alone in a foreign place, where few speak your language, where you’re left with little else than your true self. When you let the ego wash away, along with your preconceived expectations and judgements, then you’re left with what is you, and while hard truths may present themselves to you, a new way of living, a new acceptance, and a new life ahead of you can be found.

But to achieve this effect, you can’t simply move from one hotel to the next, you must travel real by staying in local people’s homes, eating with them, sharing stories, and seeing how they live and gaining the understanding of why they live and think the way they do. When you experience other cultures on the everyday ground level, then you gain a sense of reality, understanding, empathy and you no longer focus on the propaganda and misunderstandings that may have attached itself to you over the years of your development.

For me, personally, I like to pack my suitcase and simply go. I like to wing it, mostly, to where I venture out into the thick of the culture, so I can experience what makes the people tick. I love expanding my understanding by experiencing the differences of the people, the place and the culture. I absolutely love trying the local food, seeing the sights, immersing myself in the nature, and finding the heart of the place. There’s no truer way to becoming a citizen of the world.

While backpacking is a great way to roam for extended periods of time, there are trips where I only have enough time to explore for a week or two. In those cases, I tend to choose a versatile suitcase that can keep my necessities safe while tend to my curiosity out and about. On a recent trip, I took the Etherius Illusion suitcase with me, which is a high quality piece of luggage by Victorinox Swiss Army. The Etherius Illusion is a where style meets substance. The new deep lake color is an eye-catching fashion statement that also brings quality engineering into play to make any trip easy and safer for the traveler.

Victorinox’s Etherius Illusion is a 100% virgin polycarbonate shell that is robust yet lightweight, making it a goto choice for any globe-trotter. The outer shell is a wavelike 3-D moiré design that looks sharp, classy, and dynamic, making it stick out among the countless black suitcases on the luggage carousel. The best feature, besides the zipper extension for a larger internal fit is the base because it’s fitted with directional Hinomoto wheels that make even the heaviest of packing jobs move through the concourse like a breeze. Victorinox Swiss Army is one of my favorite brands, because they always make the best of the best, yet keeping their luggage affordable… but the old adage is true, in that you get what you pay for.
