A movement has been brewing over the past couple of decades and is only snowballing faster with each day around the sun, and that movement is the positive life choice of choosing natural over synthetic. In the USA and in Europe, there is a growing momentum of conscious choices happening, and with that change in people’s minds and lifestyles comes a world of exciting options. For awhile, big corporations gained traction by selling cheap products that help all income levels survive, but not without a cost to ones health and overall wellness.

The days of prescription pharmaceuticals may never be gone, and that’s okay, because there are many drugs that can indeed heal and help certain conditions, but there is no doubt that these sorts of drugs are wanted less due to their inflated pricing schemes and their often longer lists of side effects than cures. The general public is waking up to the fact that many of these substances are more harmful than they are helpful, and that’s where the movement is beginning.

This started with the quality of our food and the health effects of fast food and low quality and low priced foods, and now people are focusing on what they put in their bodies. And as the masses start to move back toward natural ways and whole ingredients to heal themselves of their everyday ailments and symptoms, they’re learning which plants can be most beneficial for them. For me, I look for calming herbs that help me balance my overstimulation from work and writing, as well as for days when my mind feels sluggish and foggy, I look for natural ways to boost brain function. But that’s me, because of the career and lifestyle I lead.

I’ve worked with herbal medicine greatly over the past few years and have found many natural ways to boost my everyday wellness, however, few plants are as beneficial and powerful as ginseng. I’ve recently teamed up with Ginseng-Premium / XFCI out of France, and they were kind enough to send a sample of their exclusive Black Ginseng Extract.

Ginseng has been known as a potent antioxidant, with anti-inflammatory, brain boosting, and immune boosting properties, and has been shown to improve erectile dysfunction, fatigue, and blood sugar levels, as well as containing potential benefits against cancer*. While red ginseng is perhaps the most well-known, black ginseng provides higher concentrates of trace compounds found in red ginseng, and can provide a stronger effect.

Black Ginseng is known for its brain boosting effects, such as improving memory, intellectual performance, and the speed of recall, and is also known for its male performance stimulation, as it stimulates testosterone metabolism, which in turn can be noticed as better activity and sexual performance. For me, ginseng is important for fighting fatigue and tiredness, as well as stimulate the mind when I’m having trouble thinking through the fog when I need to be clear as to write the best of my abilities day in and day out.

After working with Ginseng-Premium’s Black Ginseng, I noticed the stimulating effects within minutes of adding a tiny spoonful to a Chinese green tea and lemongrass herbal tea blend. My mind became sharper, my vision was sharper, and the fogginess seemed to fade away. With ginseng, I’m able to go about my day even when I don’t feel up to it, and I may be even more productive with it, even on good days. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of their Black Ginseng!
