Review: the Gamer Duel Headset and Clutch Mouse by Fnatic Gear

Gaming has grown tremendously since its inception, but as computer technology advances, so does the realism and control of gaming systems. Where it used to be dull excitement of playing Pong, it has since evolved to where virtual reality is now, where the difference between reality and the game is blended and one can literally become lost in the experience. I think that’s both amazing and frightening for a handful of reasons, but what is really crazy is that games are so realistic these days that people are choosing to play games rather than live their own life (or playing a game life, within the game itself; like in Sims), and many are becoming so addicted that their regular lives are crumbling.
But for the rest of us gamers, who can control ourselves from becoming too engrossed and obsessed, gaming can be a brief but welcoming respite from the trials and stresses of normal life in this confusing modern age. For me, playing games is about me, for me, to relax me, and to give me a break from the occasional monotony and pressures of life. But to be honest, sometimes they can rile me up like no other, which tells me that I’m even in need of a break from gaming, because I am too anxious. When that happens, I will spend some time outside, with Nature, and/or simply meditate.

Travel and gaming don’t always go together, but you may be surprised at how well the two coincide. Beyond the gaming available on mobile phones, tablets, and laptops, there are now systems that can be played as a console and then be converted for mobile gaming, which is an amazing technological advancement. Today, I thought it would be nice to feature some gamer-ware that can be used at home, or on the road.

Fnatic Gear is a gaming company that produces some of the best gaming headsets, mouses, and keyboards on the market. The Duel TMA-2 Modular Gaming Headset is a high quality and versatile headset that is an eSports graded modular headset system, designed by DJ and Studio audio design pioneers at AIAIAI and Fnatic. This headset offers the ability to switch parts in-and-out to make the perfect headset for you, with two sets of earpads and miss that can give you amazing sound whether you game at home or on the road.

Fnatic has rated this headset as studio quality audio and sports ready which means it’s pro-player designed, tested and approved for the highest levels of competitive play, which is pretty wild if you ask me. The modular system allows for a lot of interchanging, including two headbands. The earbuds provide the user with high isolation in a comfort set, which can be ideal for both listening and gaming. I found the Duel TMA-2 Modular Gaming Headset to be very high quality, with great sound and bass, which really amps up the experience in most games. It’s not only lightweight and ergonomic, but it’s powerful with precision sound.

If you’re like me, you like to play games on the computer. Gaming online via a high speed and high quality desktop computer with equally high quality monitor may be the best way to game, as far as I’m concerned. Sure, gaming consoles are fun, because you can implement your television, but it’s equally as easy to setup a gaming tower to a TV as well. And I do love the handheld controllers for some games, but for others, I am perfectly adept at translating competitive gaming via a traditional computer mouse. But Fnatic doesn’t specialize in basic, traditional, boring computer mouses; they specialize in precision instruments that are capable of bringing out the best gamer in you. Their Clutch G1 optical gaming mouse may look like a traditional mouse with a few extra buttons, but it is indeed a professional gamer mouse. Not only is is precise with its pro-grade optical sensor, but it is customizable and is as easy as plug and play.

The Clutch G1 mouse was designed with ergonomics in mind, with its soft-rubber coating and curvy shape; which is perfect for gamers who require a comfortable fit for long gaming sessions. Even the cord has been designed specifically for gamers in mind, with its drag reduction design. Additionally, the Clutch mouse supports three player profiles for custom buttons, polling rates and LED colors. I found the Clutch G1 mouse by Fnatic to be ideal for fast-paced games, like sports. And instead of feeling like a large potato, like most traditional mice, I found that it felt good and right while I was playing.
