Review: The Original Canopy Chair 3.0 by Renetto

There have been a lot of renditions of the canopy chair over the past few years, but one company owns the patent on a key design element. Renetto’s claim to fame is that they’re the creators of the original canopy chair. I’ve seen a variety of versions of this sort of camp chair, but most have design issues, or are made very cheaply. The Renetto Canopy Chair 3.0 is different. It’s built strong with materials that are made to last, and the design is well thought out with mechanics that are simple but very cool.
The Renetto Canopy Chair 3.0 is their latest and most effective design model. What’s amazing about this chair isn’t that it simply has a canopy overhead, or an attachable footrest. It’s the fold up that dazzles. With a quick, easy motion, the canopy folds back behind the chair into a backpack. No joke; the chair literally folds into a rectangle shape with backpack straps, making it much easier to carry, which I think is especially beneficial since it is a serious camp chair yet doesn’t burden the user like some other chairs on the market.

The Canopy Chair 3.0 opens up from its closed backpack position in a mere few seconds, as all you have to do is unlatch two straps, then pull the chair out from its folded position, and finally, the last step is simply pulling up the canopy which opens seamlessly with a single easy motion. How many chairs on the market have that sort of capability, strength and innovation, tied together with ease of use. Honestly? Probably none. I’ve either owned, used, or reviewed all styles of camp chairs, including canopy chairs, rockers, retractable, beach, and build your own, and this is the single most impressive chair out there. If I could afford a whole set, I would only carry these kind of chairs for my camp outings with families. The price tag of $69.95 on such an innovative chair isn’t exactly expensive, but it is justified once you see how it's built.

I found the comfort level of the chair portion itself as being above average, while the foot rest being an optional add-on is a really nice addition, because it allows you the user the ability to lounge at utmost comfort in the shade. I really like the way the canopy folds smoothly into what is essentially the backpack itself. Renetto knocked this design out of the park; and I tried to find something to criticize, anything at all, but it simply isn’t possible with their Canopy Chair model 3.0. The truth is it’s a very solid chair, and I love it. I know they’re working on more designs to revolutionize the camp furniture market, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
