Happy New Year everyone!

As a travel writer, I've been blessed with opportunities to travel wide and far, and abroad, in all sorts of styles, backpacker to camping to luxury travel, with the chance to try out a variety of great products. I am blessed, and eternally grateful.
Today is no different. I introduce to you one of the most useful products that I've used in my travels: The (sleek and sexy) Valandre Grasshopper sleeping bag by Liberty Mountain. This is no normal sleeping bag, as it was designed for a myriad of travel styles. Take for instance, the green color, said to give the user the ability to romp and roll around in the high grass of any country side, while also being sufficient in keeping you comfortable during summer nights through late autumn... Because of the fabric is nylon and polyester rip-stop on the outside and Pyrenean French duck down inside the shell, making it perfect for chilly mornings, as well as stuffy summer nights.

From my experience with the Valandre Grasshopper, camping in Medicine Bow, Wyoming and throughout several areas of the Colorado Rockies, I can say with complete confidence that this is the best bag that I've had the chance to work with. I have two other sleeping bags, one for extremely cold temperatures and another that I purchased many years ago from a department store, and the Grasshopper is my go to choice.
The sleeping bag fits snug, enveloping you from neck to toe, which encases your body heat, but it is also light enough to travel abroad, and even backpack with it. For it rolls up nice and neat, and tight. Besides size, the biggest issues that I've always found with sleeping bags is its comfort level – the duck down is purely awesome in this bag, an A+ move by Liberty Mountain, if I do say so myself. I found the Grasshopper to be ideal for me, in all aspects, especially as far as my comfort level goes. I slept like a baby on most of my trips, and that's saying something, considering the inevitable rocks and mounds under your back in a tent.
It's a bit costly, ranging from $319.95 - $379.95 in retail, but it is built to last, and made to be versatile. If you camp a few times a year in the summer months, then this may not be the bag for you, but if you're like me, at home in nature and obsessed with spending as much time as possible in the wilderness, then purchasing a quality sleeping bag that is built to last and capable of serving you well in varying situations and environments is a necessity.
