Searching for a Proper Groomsmen Gift: featuring DapperGanger

I am in the midst of planning my first (and only) wedding. It’s a big deal, and it’s a whole lot of work. But I can’t freaking wait until the day comes, where I can spend a day surrounded by my favorite people while I make a commitment to my significant other that will bind us together forevermore. It’s a beautiful thing, and yet, I’m also excited to see it come to an end, because planning your own wedding isn’t for the faint of heart. As I complete one task, three more seem to miraculously show up on my to-do list; it’s amazing. But I am managing with the help of my future wife, so I am grateful for that.

The worst part isn’t exactly the amount I have to do, but the amount I have to decide on, and one of those important decisions is how I’m going to honor my best mates who are joining me as part of my groomsmen. I’ve done the searching online, through the blogs, the storefronts, the endless Pinterest photos, and yet, I’ve come away rather overwhelmed, because what I do like is outrageously expensive because it’s customized. I thought about buying matching ties or belt, or watch, but even those options aren’t perfect for my three buddies, nor are they within a reasonable budget. So I kept searching and considering, and finally, I found the perfect kit by DapperGanger.

DapperGanger is a gift company that specializes in funky, fun socks, as well as beard care and grooming kits. Each kit comes in a flashy box that, once wrapped, looks perfect as a gift of honor. The Ultimate Beard Kit is what I opted for, which comes with DapperGanger beard wash, beard balm and oil, as well as a pair of grooming sheers, comb, brush, and a dopp bag. Not only is the kit all-inclusive, but it looks great, coming together like a whole gift basket for men.

I decided to test out the products firs to be sure they were worthy, and after some testing, I found that the DapperGanger beard care products were definitely solid overall. All of their botanical products are premium, made with certified organic and all natural ingredients, which is noticeable upon initial use. Each, their beard wash, oil and balm, have a citrusy fragrance (fresh cut lemongrass, mint and rosemary), which adds a relaxing effect when the beard wash is used in a hot shower like a sort of aromatherapy. The beard oil works great at conditioning and strengthening my beard, while moisturizing the skin underneath. No one likes an itchy beard, nor one that has dandruff, because an itchy dry beard typically means it hasn’t been taken care of, but with DapperGanger, they’ve got your back. The balm is nice, too, because it offers a range of versatility, because not only does it soothe itch and condition the hair, but it also helps with styling as well as the taming of the new wilder hairs.

I tested out the stainless steel grooming scissors and found them to work nicely. I’ve worked with higher quality sheers in the past, but these are smaller and get the job done. Along with the Ultimate Kit, DapperGanger includes a unique metal moustache/beard comb on a keychain, which is well made and looks edgy; oh, and it has a bottle cap opener on it, so it’s perfect for groomsmen! Depending which kit you get, they offer the perfect beard brush in the form of a wooden-handled boar bristle brush that helps to style and tame the beard hair while also stimulating the follicles for fresh and fuller growth, as well as wooden-handled thin tooth comb that works great for thicker, wilder beards that need help with untangling. Oh, and depending which kit you choose, there may be a bonus pair of free socks! I know my dudes will love them. All in all, I found their products to be high quality and worthy of gift giving.
