The Right Atmosphere for Writing Abroad

As a travel writer, I tend to work on the road most of the time. Nearly every minute of downtime, whether it being on a bus, train, ferry or plane are spent in front of this laptop, where I write for you all. My hope isn't that you will be jealous or think I'm leading a better life for it, but it is to spread the joy, the experience, and the love I have of traveling. I want everyone to experience what it's like to travel, because it can change you, and to be frank, I think everyone needs to experience it. Travel gets you out of your everyday routine, and makes you think, question, and understand, while helping to guide you to happiness, ego-less, and peaceful living in a modern age where society demands a new way of thinking.

Writing abroad can be difficult, especially if you're used to writing in a quiet room. Public transport, hostels and restaurants can all be distraction-filled places, but as a travel writer, or simply, a writer abroad, you can mold your atmosphere to better fit your writing style and experience needs. For me, a quiet room works better than anything else. There's something about the quiet that helps the brain process better, and I find myself being more creative in silence. But there's another way that I find I can write better, and that's with headphones on.

The right sort of headphones can transform a writer's experience immediately, and drastically. Not only do the right headphones block out ambient noise, they can also keep you isolated in your own world, where it is your brain and only soft music that flows through you and into you the keyboard. When I have something particularly focus-required, I find a dark place to write, no matter how loud it is, and I fade out behind a wall of chillstep music with soft sounds and beats, no vocals, and I tend to lean more toward the atmospheric sounds to get me through. There's just something about working through an idea, or an assignment when I feel like I'm in my own world, unhurried, and under no stress or obligation. The ideas flow easily with little to distract me. With the right headphones, even busy, bright, and loud areas of the world can become your writing sanctuary.

You're wondering, what exactly are the right headphones?

No doubt, that can be a difficult question to answer. But luckily for you, I've had the chance to try out almost every style and company out there, and today I bring you Audio Technica's ATH-M70x professional monitor headphones. You can use these in a recording studio, or abroad. Even for backpackers, these headphones fold up small and are stored in their own slimline case. Why am I suggesting the ATH-M70x's? Well, they provide optimum sound quality, crisp highs, thick bass, total comfort, and the ability to transform for all styles of travelers. The headphones are closed-back, which provide the listener with isolation, the ear cups are comfortable, plush and feel great, which also provide the listener with the ability to close themselves off from the world – this is my favorite aspect of these headphones, because they work toward that private atmosphere experience, which I find perfect for my writing scenarios. The ATH-M70x headphones are high quality in every regard, AND have I mentioned they fold up?!

Very impressive publication here. Moreover as I see, this question is very actual for many people indeed. Personally I totally agree with author opinion about this subject and I think that it would be really interesting to create such discussion with other this website visitors. Anyway thanks a lot one more time for the great and informative publication. And I will definitely be waiting for more such nice posts like this one from you. Kind regards, Peter Rickson.

Those "helmet" type speakers do not work for me. I mean they do block external sounds and are a great substitution for a hat in cold weather but they are huge and delicate. Therefore they broke sooner than everage vaccum speakers.
