This Winter, Give The Gift of Style: featuring LOWA’s Serfaus GTX Mid Cold Weather Boots

It ’tis the time of the year for cold weather and hot cocoa, that white stuff people call snow, and the dreaded holiday shopping season. The internet has transformed how we shop for ourselves and loved ones during the Christmas season, and while the move has been swift and the effect beginning to be noticed in the closure of department stores all over the world, it allows the ability to shop for unique products from all over the world that otherwise would not be possible to buy locally.

I thought I used to love to go out and shop until about ten years ago when it started to wear on me, and so now I love to find dynamic companies from all over that specialize in one of a kind products. Plus, the anti-social part inside me rejoices for the opportunity to shop online rather than be surrounded by screaming babies and stressed, hurried shoppers.

This winter, I implore you to take some extra time when considering your gift giving for loved ones, as with a little extra effort, you can surprise and delight them so much more than by buying the typical big name brands and products that fit the basic norm. For my wife, I sought out a handmade pottery master and a shirt maker (and the only reason I’m telling you this is because I know she never reads my blog; at least I hope now… lol!) from across the world. Not only was the quality better than industrially-made products, the love and care they put into their work was evident, and of course, they put their own fresh take and style into my gifts for her, and I know she will love them. But it was the gift for my buddy that I am most proud of…

My friend is a sneaker fiend and loves the hottest, latest, sharpest shoe and so instead of waiting in line for a pair of overpriced Nike’s, I opted for one of Europe’s most impressive footwear makers. LOWA is a Slovakia company that specializes in handcrafted footwear that’s regularly among the best in the world. They offer a wide range of shoes and boots for both men and women (and they have a few pairs for children as well), for everyday wear to just about any outdoor endeavor, like that of mountaineering, hiking, trekking, backpacking, rock climbing, hunting, and more. Forbes has even called LOWA “the Rolls-Royce of hiking boots.”

LOWA’s Serfaus GTX Mid Boots are made for cold weather use, but they are so much more than a winter boot as they take on a luxurious and uber stylish, while also being made to outlast much of the worst that winter has in store. The Serfaus winter sneaker-boot is made of embossed leather uppers and loren-style synthetic trim, and is outfitted with a thicker midsole that adds additional protection from the elements, while marrying together waterproof with breathability. They are lined with the industry standard GORE-TEX fabric that provides the breathable waterproofing.

Other materials included in these dynamic boots is a full grain leather, split grain leather, injected PU DynaPU Midsole, and is insulated by Panda Polyester. The final effect is a beautiful, eye-catching high ankle shoe that’s built like an all-terrain boot. The aesthetic is pure fire in my opinion, with a sleek grey look with a wool-like top and embossed leather exterior that has a whole lot of character, which is outlined by a white strip at the base. The X-pattern tread works really nicely at ensuring you have proper grip on rock and even when dealing with ice. The inside of the Serfaus is padded with warming insulation that I found to be very comfortable when I tried them on. Overall, I came away extremely impressed by the quality of the Serfaus boot, from the strong structural build to the brilliant creative design. I know my loved ones will be very happy with their gifts this year, so why not give it a little extra effort and search out something unique and wonderful.

One present why galore businesses opt for postcards is because they are overmuch cheaper to be prefab and this can forbear a lot of expenses on the lengthened run.
