If you have picked up Thailand as your next holiday destination, you have indeed made a perfect choice. The next question that confuses most travelers is where in Thailand? Thailand is home to many destinations that will attract you and will have something unique to offer. Be it the lush green mountains and jungles of Chiang Mei, The secluded and pristine Koh Samui or the historical Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi, and you cannot only have it all in a single go.
If this is your first trip to Thailand, ideally Phuket should be your top choice. Not that there are no other better beaches in the country, but Phuket is so diverse, that it will not let you get bored even if you choose to have an extended holiday. It is the largest island in the country, and its entertainment horizon stretches way beyond beaching.
You will get to experience the happening culture and nightlife, the breathtaking views, the exciting jungle safaris and trekking, the adventurous zip lining, and much more. All in All, it's a one-stop holiday destination, and that too at a very reasonable price. Although Phuket has dozens of things to do, which you can pick and choose online while you look through various Phuket Tours, here are a few things that you should not miss out.

Island Hopping
When you are traveling to a beach destination, it does not need to be reminded that you need to go check out the beach. However, Phuket goes much beyond the island itself. Phuket is dotted by some of the more exotic smaller islands in the neighborhood that are worth a visit. If you are on an extended holiday, it is highly recommended to spend a night or two at the gorgeous Koh Phi Phi and experience the tranquility of Maya Bay. It is also the shooting spot of the Leonardo DiCaprio blockbuster, The Beach. If you are into scuba diving and snorkeling, you will love the clear blue waters, which are another reason why these islands are a must visit.

Patong Street
Food and Shopping are one of the most critical parts of any holiday trip, and Patong is the place to be to serve the purpose. Popularly known as the Bangla Street, this walkthrough street at the island's famous Patong Beach is a hub of all kinds of cuisines and culinary options along with markets to shop around. While the shops and eateries are operational all day long, the street m mainly comes to life after the sun sets with the bars, bistros, and nightclubs along the street adding thrill, excitement, and color to the ambiance. If you are a fan of nightlife and happening streets, make sure you are staying close by Patong Street or ideally at the Patong beach.

Safaris and Jungle Trekking
If you are nature and adventure lover, you will love Phuket for the lush green forests and the exciting safari tours. Ride the elephants through the jungle or hike the jungle trails to take a dip in the gorgeous waterfalls, slide down a zip line or raft through the white waters, Phuket has everything in store for you to keep you gripped.
